ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Jeff Schiefelbein is a culture champion with a talent for helping others to become the best version of themselves.
Currently, Jeff serves as the Chief Culture Officer and Founding Partner in an energy advisory firm called 5. In a few short years, 5 has already received numerous accolades including a recent listing on the Inc 5000 fasting growing companies list and various best place to work accolades including the #2 Best Place to Work in Texas by Texas Monthly and the #20 Best Company to Work for in America according to Fortune Magazine.
Prior to the creation of 5, Jeff served as the Vice President of Sales for First Choice Power where he was the youngest member of the executive leadership team. As a result of several creative initiatives within the sales division, Jeff’s team achieved record-setting growth that ultimately contributed to the sale of First Choice Power in 2011.
Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University with a focus on entrepreneurship. During college, Jeff turned a big mistake into a major positive by creating CARPOOL, the nation’s largest college safe-ride program to reduce drunk driving. In 17 years of operations, CARPOOL has provided over 260,000 free, safe, and nonjudgmental rides to students in need while expanding to dozens of other schools around the country. For his work on CARPOOL, Jeff was featured on ABC’s Volunteers Across America and has won numerous awards, including the National Daily Point of Light Award and the Texas Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.
Additionally, Jeff serves as the Chairman of the National Board for Young Catholic Professionals and as the Board Chairman for In My Shoes, a nonprofit that provides pregnant homeless women with a safe place for their journey through pregnancy and beyond. Jeff is also a motivational speaker and guest lecturer for several classes at Texas A&M University- He has spoken at nearly every YCP chapter’s Executive Speaker Series across the country! Jeff currently lives in Dallas with his wife Amanda and their 3 young children, Lorelei (4), Emilia (2) and Pax (5 months).
